Clinical Psychology Registrar Opportunity

The role of the Clinical Psychology Registrar is a pivotal stepping stone for aspiring psychologists seeking to develop their skills and expertise in the treatment of eating disorders. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will be immersed in a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies to excel in this field.

Program Overview

The Clinical Psychology Registrar Program is a tailored experience that addresses the requirements of the AHPRA registrar program and the Eating Disorder practitioner credentialling. Through this program, you will receive:

  • Introductory training in the assessment and diagnosis of eating disorders and their related concerns
  • Formal training in Family-Based Therapy (FBT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E)
  • Weekly individual supervision with a board-approved supervisor
  • Participation in weekly 'Clinical Masterclass' sessions
  • Participation in weekly case reviews
  • Support in successful attainment of the formal practice competencies introduced by CFIH aimed at ensuring your competence in the treatment of eating disorders and their related concerns

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be eligible for general registration with AHPRA by January 1
  • Be eligible for an unrestricted Medicare provider number by January 1
  • Have a 12-24 month full-time commitment
