Lived Experience Peer Worker

Our organization is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Lived Experience Peer Worker. In this position, you will provide intensive support and guidance to patients admitted to our eating disorder program.

About the Role

As a Lived Experience Peer Worker, you will be responsible for supporting staff interaction with patients, meal support, bathroom observations, and assisting in therapeutic program activities. Your primary goal will be to help patients navigate the program and facilitate their recovery.

About You

To succeed in this role, you must have personal experience of an eating disorder or caring for someone with an eating disorder. You should display empathy and an understanding of eating disorders, possess well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to establish rapport and gain trust with individuals presenting for support.
