System Security Specialist

The System Security Specialist plays a pivotal role in safeguarding an organization's assets and data from threats and breaches, ensuring business continuity and minimizing the risk of security incidents.

Critical Responsibilities:
  • Perform system administration tasks including patching, ICT security, user management, and more
  • Analysis of system and security event logs
  • Collaborate with IT Security Manager and Cyber Security Specialist to maintain and improve security posture as per the strategic security plan
  • Security incident reporting and analysis
  • Perform security risk assessments
  • Assess security control effectiveness
  • Perform regular security audits
  • Identify cyber security risks and implement security controls
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in cyber security/information technology or related experience
  • 5+ years' experience as an IT Systems & Security Administrator
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, network devices, and protocols
  • Experience with Australian Information Security Manual (ISM), Defense Security Principles Framework (DSPF), and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
