Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Consultant to join our team. As an Environmental Consultant, you will play a crucial role in our organization, working on a range of projects across the industry for government and private sectors.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental engineering or science, with experience in contaminated land projects and field work. You will be responsible for project management, client liaison, and technical work including remedial design, risk assessment, and hydrogeology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee site investigation and remediation programs from initiation to completion.
  • Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Technical Work: Conduct remedial design, risk assessments, conceptual model development, and hydrogeological studies.
  • Mentoring: Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent relevant degrees.
  • Less than 6 years' experience in environmental consulting specialising in contaminated land projects and field work.
  • Strong written, reporting, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to design, undertake, and/or manage site investigation and remediation programs.
  • Familiarity with regulatory guideline framework relating to contaminated site investigation/ remediation.
  • Specialty or advancing skills in one or more of the following areas: site investigation, human health, and/or ecological risk assessment, in-situ groundwater remediation, management of asbestos in soils, complex hydrogeological assessment, and/or audit support.
