Job Description:

The role of Inventory Specialist revolves around maintaining and controlling all parts and materials necessary for carrying out repair activities. This position entails ordering, tracking, and following up on orders to ensure timely delivery. Additionally, it requires ensuring the correct parts are provided to technicians for approved repairs and rework.

This role involves a range of tasks including ordering daily supplies and materials, tracking and following up on all orders, and ensuring accurate part logs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procure required parts, supplies, and materials
  • Track and follow up on all orders
  • Ensure correct parts are provided to technicians for approved repairs
  • Record completed repairs by technician and provide monthly statements to lab leadership
  • Investigate rework issues with lab leadership
  • Update and maintain part logs for accuracy
  • Complete purchase requests accurately and follow up regularly
  • Perform quality inspections on critical parts upon receipt
  • Document part inspections
  • Assist with new part development
  • Review part costs and research available options
  • Monitor changes to parts and suppliers with lab leadership

This role demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as good hand-eye coordination and effective written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate should be motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work under direct and indirect supervision.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or above
  • Prior inventory control and purchasing experience is preferred
  • Good attendance and punctuality are required
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
