Care Aide Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Care Aide to deliver care to clients within the Denmark area. This is a permanent part-time role, offering flexible working hours.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional care and support to clients in their homes, enhancing and encouraging participation in their own care to maintain independence.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, such as showering, grooming, toileting, and other support services like medication assistance, meal preparation, domestic assistance, and social support.
  • Follow a predetermined schedule, travelling from home to home, requiring unrestricted access to a vehicle and the ability to follow a digital schedule and care plan autonomously via a mobile app.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC, or Disability is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Those with a relevant certificate require at least 3 months of relevant care worker experience; without one, a minimum of 6+ months of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience working in a home care/community setting is highly desirable.
  • A valid driver's license with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle, insured and in good condition, is essential.
  • Ability to work autonomously in the community, referring to a digital schedule and care plan via a mobile app, is crucial.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
  • Alignment with Silverchain Group's COVID-19 vaccination policy is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $34.69 per hour + superannuation.
  • A travel allowance of $0.99 per kilometer.
  • A provided mobile phone for work purposes.
