About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Scholarships and Grants Program Officer.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of scholarships and grants programs, from application to completion and evaluation. This includes preparing and submitting funding and grant proposals, administering the program, and evaluating outcomes.

You will also be responsible for building strong partnerships with funders and government agencies, ensuring programs are delivered seamlessly and to high standards. Strong project management, excellent communication and stakeholder skills, and the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously are essential requirements for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer the full lifecycle of scholarships and grants programs, from application to completion and evaluation.
  • Prepare and submit funding and grant proposals in line with partner and government guidelines.
  • Act as the first point of contact for applicants, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring clear and professional communication.
  • Coordinate the design, promotion, delivery, and evaluation of key sector initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, payments, and acquittals to ensure financial compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records and systems, including databases, CRM entries, and contracts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with funders, partners, and stakeholders, aligning program objectives with partnership goals.
  • Enhance scholar and partner experiences through onboarding, communication, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor timelines and milestones, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and meet quality standards.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize the impact of the scholarships and grants portfolio.

Requirements

At least 3 years' experience managing scholarships, grants, or funding programs, preferably within education, not-for-profit, or government sectors.

Proven success in developing grant proposals and securing significant funding ($300k+).

Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.

Ability to manage multiple programs and deadlines effectively.

Experience in financial administration, including managing budgets, payments, and compliance.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting proposals, reports, or program materials.

High attention to detail and accuracy in data, documentation, and reporting.

A proactive, organized approach with sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
