Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner

The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join our team in Fortitude Valley. This part-time role involves delivering Family Dispute Resolution services to our clients as an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP).
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate Family Dispute Resolution sessions, including parenting and property matters, via joint, shuttle, and telephone.
- Assess, refer, or deliver child-inclusive family dispute resolution as required.
- Provide case management, information, and referrals to families progressing through the family dispute resolution process.
- Facilitate psycho-educational or information group sessions.
- Complete client suitability assessments for family dispute resolution.
- Complete client intake, including initial and ongoing risk assessment/s and safety planning.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social or Behavioural Science from a recognised institution.
- Current registration as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with the Attorney General's Department.
- Understanding of the Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners Regulations within the Family Law Act.
- Well-developed understanding of Domestic and Family Violence Act, Child Protection Act, and Family Law Act.
- Experience in intake, risk assessment, case management, and referral pathways.
- Strong written work, including report writing, case notes, data collection, and computer literacy skills.
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to support and work with diverse families with complex needs.
- Availability for some after-hours work.
- Current Blue Card or eligibility to apply.
- Current driver's licence.
- Current Australian Federal Police Criminal History Check or successful completion of one.
- Working rights in Australia.
We offer a competitive remuneration package on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award level 5. Salary packaging options are available to increase your take-home pay by up to $15,900.
