Electronics Systems Specialist

The role of an Electronics Systems Specialist is to ensure the service (maintenance, troubleshooting and rework) of complex electronic systems at the Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence site. This specialist will be part of a global integrated team within Electronic Solutions to manage the program execution of the LAND 400 Phase 2 Contract with the Commonwealth of Australia and assist in capturing export markets in the Asia Pacific region.

Job Description
  • Fault Finding and Troubleshooting

An Electronics Systems Specialist will independently find and troubleshoot faults on complex electronic systems, including electrical, mechanical, and optical components. This requires strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.

Maintenance and Support

This specialist will be responsible for maintaining Rheinmetall designed components, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, and communicating with multiple engineering authorities for repairs.

Documentation and Record Keeping

An Electronics Systems Specialist will document all conducted work packages, providing accurate and detailed records of maintenance and support activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certification

A Cert IV in Electronics or Avionics fields is highly desirable for this role.

Experience

Extensive experience in electronics/optics production or service environments is required, as well as a proven track record in Defence or Defence Industry sectors.

Technical Skills

An Electronics Systems Specialist should possess strong technical skills, including extensive use of electrical/optical test equipment and understanding of generic electrical architecture (AC/DC), system integration (Analogue and Digital), and Defence electronics systems.

Soft Skills

This specialist must be resilient in working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
