Production Technician Job Description

This role is part of the Electronic Solutions team at a leading Defence company, working closely with a global integrated team to manage program execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for the production, test and inspection of electronic and optical equipment, as well as associated test equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III or higher in electronics technology or equivalent qualification, with sound professional working experience. They will also possess proven experience in fault localisation, electronic circuit technology and fine motor skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production of electronic equipment from PCBA to complex assemblies
  • Tests and calibration of assemblies as part of series production
  • Fine motor skill work and challenges in daily tasks
  • Production and inspection of electrical/electronic test adaptations
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Certificate III or higher in electronics technology or equivalent qualification
  • Sound professional working experience in electronics and optics
  • Proven experience in fault localisation and electronic circuit technology
  • Excellent fine motor skills and ability to work accurately
