Telecommunication Technician/Rigger Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunication Technician Rigger to join our team in delivering projects across NSW Australia.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate and commission Ericsson Baseband Unit and Nokia Airscale
  • Terminate DC cables to Power System Unit
  • Alarm Troubleshooting using PIM tester, Site Master, Distance-to-Fault, Return Loss and Feeder Termination
  • Swap-out, Upgrade and Decommissioning of Mobile Telecommunication Equipment
  • Installation of antenna mounting hardware, steelworks, hangers, feeder trays and transmission equipment on Rooftop, Lattice and Monopole
  • Use of EWP's as required to carry out works on site
  • Working at Heights Riggings
  • Completing all tasks to a high-quality standard in compliance with Customer requirements
  • Maintaining SLA time frames and providing necessary updates to the Site Supervisors
  • Ensuring all working at heights activities are performed safely and in accordance with client safety procedures

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years previous experience as a Telecommunications Technician and Rigger (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of Nokia and Ericsson 3G, 4G, 5G equipment
  • Familiarity with Telstra, Optus and VHA standards
  • Current Working at Heights Certificate and ability to comfortably operate at heights regularly
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices
  • Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • RF Awareness Certificate
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Tower rescue Certificate
  • High Risk Certificate / Rigging Certificate
  • EWP above 11m certificate
