About this role

Court Services Officers play a pivotal part in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of court registries. This role involves providing administrative support, frontline services to court users, and undertaking various duties within the courtroom.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of Court Services Queensland registries;
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to court users on a daily basis, responding to their needs in a trauma-aware and compassionate manner;
  • Undertake in-court duties, including unlocking and preparing courtrooms, administering oaths and affirmations, maintaining security and control of jurors, and handing out exhibits and documents as required;
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare and process complex court matters, and provide technical and administrative support to Magistrates;
  • Develop professional relationships with stakeholders, including judiciary members, government agencies, and the general public;
  • Stay up-to-date with current practices and procedures, and contribute to improving registry processes and procedures;
