**Job Title:** Deputy Principal Legal Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic legal professional to join our team as a Deputy Principal Legal Officer. This is a newly created leadership role, offering the opportunity to grow into senior management while making a difference in women's access to justice.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality legal advice, casework & representation in complex matters
  • Supervise and mentor a team of 4 solicitors
  • Act as Principal Legal Officer when required
  • Lead community outreach and deliver legal education
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across legal, government & community sectors

Requirements:

  • Admission as a solicitor in Australia + eligibility for an NT Practising Certificate
  • 4+ years post-admission experience in relevant practice areas
  • Experience (or strong interest) in DFSV, family law or child protection
  • Skills in trauma-informed, culturally safe practice, ideally with Aboriginal communities
  • Leadership and mentoring experience within a legal practice
