The Regional Operations Manager will play a pivotal leadership role in the Hunter Valley Coal Operations, reporting directly to the General Manager of NSW & South-East Queensland region. This role is instrumental in delivering exceptional outcomes that align with company values and operational objectives.

About the Role:

  • Lead frontline leaders to deliver reliable, safe and cost-effective train services to customers.
  • Implement plans to create a sustainable safety culture.
  • Manage people performance to drive technical and leadership capability.
  • Collaborate with the broader region and contribute to operational strategies and plans to optimise service delivery for customers.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement plans to leverage these opportunities.

About You:

  • Proven experience leading and coaching front line leaders.
  • Enthusiasm for developing frontline operational teams.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business or supply chain are well regarded.
  • Previous experience in large-scale logistics or heavy industrial organisations, ideally in Rail Operations.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an Operational Management role.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence others and engage with a diverse range of people.
  • Effective business acumen, strategic thinking and business planning skills
