Imaging Scientist Lecturer/Senior Lecturer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Imaging Scientist Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to join our team at Monash University. As a key member of our Department of Imaging and Radiation Sciences, you will play a vital role in teaching and research in Imaging Physics and Artificial Intelligence within medical imaging.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge advancements in biomedical imaging technologies, leveraging big data and artificial intelligence to address complex challenges in medical imaging. You will lead innovative research, drive advancements in imaging physics, and supervise PhD, honours, and postgraduate students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop undergraduate and postgraduate programs in medical imaging physics, with a focus on specialties such as Ultrasound and CT, and the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning in biomedical applications.
  • Conduct research in medical imaging and radiation sciences, driving advancements in biomedical imaging technologies and leveraging big data and artificial intelligence to address complex challenges.
  • Supervise PhD, honours, and postgraduate students, fostering their growth and supporting them in conducting ground-breaking research.
  • Contribute to educational innovation, shaping curriculum design and ensuring that the program stays at the forefront of industry and academic developments.
Requirements

We are seeking candidates with a doctoral degree in a relevant field, a demonstrated record of teaching medical imaging, imaging physics, or artificial intelligence, and a strong ability to engage with students, staff, and external stakeholders. A successful track record of research funding and high-quality peer-reviewed publications is also essential.
