About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Scientist to join our Tissue Bank team. As a Medical Scientist, you will be responsible for procuring, processing, and maintaining an extensive inventory of blood and tissue samples. You will also assist in the development and maintenance of quality control documentation, retrieve and prepare specimens for distribution to researchers, and maintain a comprehensive cancer database.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure, process, and maintain an extensive inventory of blood and tissue samples
- Assist in the development and maintenance of quality control documentation
- Retrieve and prepare specimens for distribution to researchers
- Maintain a comprehensive cancer database
- Travel to affiliated sites to obtain participant consent, collect, and transport fresh surgical specimens from operating theatres to designated pathology laboratories
