About the Role

This contract position involves providing senior leadership and strategic advice to support infrastructure planning, asset management, and maintenance programs across Queensland schools, staff housing, and early childhood education centers.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in infrastructure planning, asset management, or a related field, with strong knowledge of contemporary asset management practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies, strategies, and methodologies to support effective asset management and maintenance planning.
  • Provide high-level advice to executives, senior management, regional directors, and principals on a broad range of infrastructure, planning, and asset management issues.
  • Oversee the allocation of maintenance funding, including developing business rules and performance indicators for service delivery partners.
  • Undertake and guide data analysis from the Asset Life Cycle Assessment process to inform long-term investment planning.
  • Prepare reports and briefings on infrastructure, planning, and asset management issues for ministerial correspondence.
Qualifications
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate programs, interpret complex data, and deliver evidence-based strategies.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience preparing high-level reports, correspondence, and briefing materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and foster collaboration across diverse groups.
  • A commitment to delivering quality infrastructure outcomes that support the learning environment for Queensland's schools and early childhood communities.
