About the Role:

The Material Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality of materials used in the construction of the Snowy 2.0 project. This will involve reviewing and monitoring all material requirements, received or delivered on site, and verifying compliance with drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and monitor a tool to manage quality information and outstanding QC activities related to materials.
  • Ensure compliance of all relevant permanent supplies and accompanying documentation.
  • Monitor and manage required tests according to applicable standards and employer's requirements.
  • Review quality test results reports for activities carried out.
  • Liaise with clients regarding non-conformance reports and site inspections.
  • Interface with laboratory to obtain test results and ensure compliance with employer's requirements.
  • Attend and witness specific activities to be inspected by the QA/QC department.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, such as civil engineering or mechanical engineering.
  • White Card certification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in the construction industry in a similar role.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects or other suitable projects.
  • Good understanding of quality specifications and ISO AS/NZS 9001 requirements.
  • Sound experience and knowledge of construction materials and related specifications.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite and any EMDS.
