Material Quality Inspector

The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane to design and construct Snowy 2.0, one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

As a Material Quality Inspector with FGJV, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant Employer's Requirements, FGJV plans and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and accept permanent materials in accordance with Employer's Requirements and FGJV procedures.
  • Coordinate with the procurement department for the delivery and inspection of permanent supplies.
  • Draft non-conformances immediately following identification.
  • Undertake testing and inspections of permanent supplies in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Assess quality records to ensure compliance and update records in a timely manner.
  • Verify the implementation of corrective and preventive actions proposed in non-conformances.
  • Communicate and resolve quality issues with procurement representatives and the FGJV Material Manager.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, such as Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • White Card.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in the construction industry in a similar role.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects or other suitable projects.

Working Conditions:

This role is based in remote challenging areas with extreme cold temperatures. Consideration of these conditions is essential before applying for this role.
