Job Opportunity for Structural Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to relocate to Mackay, a vibrant region in tropical Central Queensland.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and work on a wide variety of structural integrity problems. You will be responsible for providing structural engineering support to structural maintenance crews and engineering departments.

You must be fit, energetic, and keen to be actively involved in site-based inspections as well as office-based engineering. Typical structures include ship-loaders, stackers/reclaimers, large conveyors, transfer towers, surge bins & bridges.

About the Role
  • Provide expert advice on site inspection and repair procedures & processes to the Engineering Department, Managers & site engineers.
  • Assess and make engineering judgement decisions on structural steel & concrete design and inspection experience.
  • Liaise between the Client and Senior Site Engineers to oversee and manage structural engineering projects.
Key Requirements
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (RPEQ or CPEng required)
  • Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, wind & materials handling codes
  • Well-developed report writing, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • A positive & proactive attitude plus an active drivers licence

This is a permanent position with an attractive remuneration package ranging from $170k to $220k PLUS paid overtime.
