Physics Tutor Role Overview

We're seeking tutors to support student learning by acting as secondary tutors during classes and providing individualized assistance outside of class hours.

Tutors will work closely with primary tutors to ensure students receive a comprehensive education, conducting 1-on-1 consultations, proofreading learning materials, and offering ongoing text-based support.

All additional student support is provided at no extra cost to students, with full compensation for tutors' time and effort.

This role offers a hybrid work-from-home component for proofreading, consultations, and text-based support, allowing tutors to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Tutors will be based in one of our Victorian campuses: Point Cook, Narre Warren, Glen Waverley, Box Hill, or Melbourne CBD. Our campuses are conveniently located near major public transportation hubs, making it easy for tutors to commute.

Character Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need honesty, integrity, a passion for teaching, empathy, energy, excellent communication skills, independence, proactiveness, and a willingness to listen, learn, and lead.

Academic Requirements

A strong academic background is essential, with a minimum raw study score of 40 in VCE Physics, first-year university knowledge in Maths/Physics/Engineering or higher, and relevant tutoring experience. Academic awards in Physics are highly regarded but not required.

Other Requirements

We're looking for individuals who can commit to a full academic year, sign a non-disclosure agreement, and agree to a non-compete clause. A genuine desire to motivate students and past VCE graduate status are preferred.
