We are seeking an experienced and skilled Captain/Engineer to join our crew for a 26 meter charter vessel operating in the Whitsundays, Sydney, and Kimberley regions.

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will have a Master 4/MED 2 qualification, extensive experience in charter vessels, and strong engineering skills. Previous experience in the East Coast and/or Top End region would be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Ensure safe and efficient operation of the vessel, performing routine maintenance and repairs on the engine, mechanical systems, and electrical systems as needed.
  • Crew Coordination: Manage and coordinate with the crew to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Master 4/MED 2 qualification.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in charter vessels, preferably in the East Coast and/or Top End region.
  • Skillset: Strong engineering skills, self-motivated, and hands-on individual able to work well with the manager and owner.
Working Conditions:

The Captain/Engineer will be responsible for managing casual crew around schedule, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
