Job Title: Executive Officer - Mental Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Officer to join our team in providing executive support to the Service Director and NBCMHS Executive Team, and professional leadership to NBCMHS Administrative staff.

About the Job

The role will be responsible for supporting NBCMHS in achieving strong corporate and clinical governance and safety management systems. This includes establishing and maintaining a positive health and safety culture in the workplace, consulting with workers and others when decisions may impact health, safety and welfare in the workplace.

NBCMHS comprises community mental health teams working in multidisciplinary teams including nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers and psychiatrists to offer a broad range of knowledge and experience in adult mental health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support NBCMHS in achieving strong corporate and clinical governance and safety management systems.
  • Establish and maintain a positive health and safety culture in the workplace.
  • Consult with workers and others when decisions may impact health, safety and welfare in the workplace.

NBCMHS aims to instil hope, promote well-being and support recovery for adults affected by severe and enduring mental illness, providing assertive and intensive care coordinated to meet individual consumer needs.

Requirements
  • Extensive experience in high-level administrative tasks at an Executive level with the ability to work autonomously, under pressure, analyse, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proven high-level interpersonal, written and electronic communication skills, including superior formal written expression, and advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience or willingness to be trained in NSLHD information systems (e.g., Health Roster, Stafflink, ROB, RISKIT and Oracle).
  • Experience and skills in providing professional and administrative leadership and direction for administration processes and workloads, including leadership in conflict resolution and team building.
Qualifications

A Health Manager (Level 1) or equivalent level of experience is required.
