Aerial Inventory Manager

About the Opportunity
This exciting role involves providing direct support to technicians managing periodic maintenance and modification of F/A-18 Fleets. As a Supply Chain Support Specialist, you will be responsible for fulfilling customer demands and other inventory management responsibilities associated with aeronautical products.
The position requires shift work and may involve deployments twice a year for a period not exceeding 3 weeks if desired.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to commence their Supply Chain career within the Defence Industry.
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain functions.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor area stock levels for high demand items.
- Order & return items from/to primary warehouse locations and monitor delivery.
- Receipting items.
- Assist with stocktaking.
- Hasten overdue orders.
- Oversee shelf-life managed items.
- Assist with managing and disposal of hazardous waste.
- Participate in activities to optimise stock replenishments and holdings.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A current High Risk Work license for LF.
- A valid C Class vehicle license.
- Demonstrated communication skills.
- The ability to acquire NV1 security clearance.
- An understanding of shelf-life management, quarantine control and hazardous product management.
- Experience in Defence Logistic would be highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Defence information management systems would be highly desirable.
