Job Overview

This opportunity allows you to contribute to real-world engineering projects while developing technical skills and gaining industry experience. You'll work closely with experienced engineers in various functions.

Responsibilities
  • Create accurate technical drawings and Bills of Material from requests, specifications, and supplier data, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Support design calculations, detailed drawings, and provide technical support to manufacturing processes and research projects.
  • Manage engineering data: Set up and maintain materials, assemblies, and manufacturing details, while ensuring drafting templates and registers are up to date.
  • Collaborate and communicate: Work closely with engineers, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical queries and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on engineering performance metrics, support calibration of measuring tools, and help implement new engineering processes and tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 0–3 years of professional engineering experience; prior internship, cadetship, or vacation work highly desirable.
  • Technical skills: Experience in a manufacturing environment, proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor, familiarity with SAP and other ERP systems.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, inclusive, and collaborative, able to manage multiple tasks.
