Establish a high-performing payroll operation by leading a team of experienced professionals.

This role oversees end-to-end payroll services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and delivering exceptional support across the organization.

Responsibilities:

- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the payroll team.
- Complete end-of-year processing in accordance with ATO guidelines, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct thorough reconciliations of wages and payments, as well as government returns submitted within deadlines, maintaining the highest level of precision and reliability.
- Configure Workday to ensure it complies with ATO legislative requirements, providing seamless integration with existing systems.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive payroll reports, including superannuation, PAYG, and other statutory obligations, meeting strict deadlines and adhering to regulatory standards.
- Efficiently resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee queries regarding pay, deductions, and entitlements, upholding exceptional customer service standards.
- Continuously improve payroll processes and procedures through automation and strategic technology implementations, driving innovation and efficiency within the organization.

Required skills include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Membership with the Australian Payroll Association.
  • Extensive experience in payroll management and people leadership.
  • Strong HRIS experience, ideally with Workday and ADP.
  • Proven ability to interpret awards, enterprise agreements, and Fair Work legislation.
