Senior Trading Manager – Media Partnerships & Buying

4+ years in media trading with strong knowledge of the Australian media landscape. Hybrid role – Offices based in Melbourne CBD. Global agency with integrated strategy, planning, trading and data teams.

What you will be doing

As our Senior Trading Manager, you'll take ownership of trading across multiple clients and channels including TV, OOH, Radio, Print and Digital. You'll lead annual negotiations, manage large-scale campaigns and deliver outcomes that meet and exceed client benchmarks. You'll mentor and manage a team, ensuring best practice trading and high-quality outputs across every campaign. Day to day, you'll collaborate closely with Planning and Client teams on optimisations, maintain strong media partner relationships, identify added-value opportunities and ensure accurate tracking and reporting. You'll also play a leading role in pitches, sponsorship evaluations and audit reviews, helping drive the future of trading within the agency.

Responsibilities
  • Lead large-scale trading outputs, client negotiations and a high-performing team
  • Own trading across TV, OOH, Radio, Print and Digital for multiple clients
  • Mentor and manage a team to ensure best practice trading and high-quality outputs
  • Collaborate with Planning and Client teams on optimisations; maintain strong media partner relationships
  • Identify added-value opportunities and ensure accurate tracking and reporting
  • Play a leading role in pitches, sponsorship evaluations and audit reviews
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of media trading experience in an agency environment
  • Proven experience leading large-scale negotiations and annual deals across multiple channels
  • Confidence using eTam and eRam to analyse TV and Radio ratings
  • Experience with MOVE to evaluate and plan Out-of-Home campaigns
  • Ability to use Roy Morgan data to guide trading recommendations across Print and Digital
  • Proficiency with SMD for bookings, budget management and reconciliation
  • Experience using TVmap to support TV trading and audit analysis
  • Knowledge of MiQ for maintaining consistent integrity of data
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams
  • Confidence presenting to senior clients, media partners and internal stakeholders
