Senior Engineering Coordinator Role

This position is a senior coordination role within the Asset Design team. The primary responsibility is leading the design of stormwater infrastructure and coordinating with other teams to ensure effective delivery of program activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the S7.11 Stormwater Design team ensuring all civil stormwater designs meet professional engineering standards.
  • Coordinate and prepare technical stormwater engineering policy documents providing technical expertise to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the overall team financial budgets.
  • Coordinate S7.11 developer contributions stormwater management designs with road infrastructure.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Hold a degree in civil engineering.
  • Have at least 8 years post-qualification experience in the survey investigation and design of stormwater management infrastructure and cost estimates.
  • Be an Engineers Australia Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and have National Engineering Registration (NER).
  • Have leadership experience managing design teams for effective timely delivery of program activities.
  • Be proficient in GIS packages computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications and extensive experience in AutoCAD 12D and water engineering applications.
  • Be able to adapt management approaches for various stormwater floodplain and road infrastructure management situations.
  • Commit to customer service.
  • Have knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Experience in managing financial budgets with forecasting.
  • Hold a current class C driver's licence.

Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Experience coordinating stormwater management and transport infrastructure with developer works.
  • Experience preparing precinct scale stormwater strategies contribution plans and associated planning instruments and policies.
  • Experience in CM9 Technology One and CIA.

Remuneration and Benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Enterprise Agreement provisions.


  • Entry level for this position starts at $2735.37 per week.
  • 35-hour working week.
  • Leaseback vehicle.
  • Opportunity to participate in flextime arrangement.
