Geotechnical Engineer - Ground Investigation and Design

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Queensland. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering geotechnical services across diverse infrastructure, renewable, and development projects.

Your primary responsibility will be to scope and deliver geotechnical projects or components, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control. You will also be responsible for leading and overseeing geotechnical aspects as part of a project team, ensuring best practices are followed throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee geotechnical aspects as part of a project team
  • Scope and deliver geotechnical projects or components
  • Plan and supervise site investigations, including borehole drilling and sampling
  • Perform geotechnical analyses, including slope stability and bearing capacity
  • Design foundations, earth retaining structures, and ground improvement solutions
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Engineering Geology
  • Chartered or Professional Engineer status (or eligibility)
  • Approximately 5-10 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in ground investigation and design
  • Awareness of geotechnical software and tools
