Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Defence Fuel Installation Specialist to join our team at the Edinburgh RAAF base in SA.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a defence environment while enjoying the benefits of a long-term role with locational stability.

The role involves performing operational and functional tasks around the installation, including the safe and compliant operation and management of aviation and/or ground fuel installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Operations Assistant, the specialist will be tasked with various operational and functional roles around the installation.
  • Responsible for the safe and compliant operation and management of the aviation and/or ground fuel installations.
  • Lead a small team of specialists, managing quality, compliance, quantity and availability of fuel and related systems and processes.
  • Ensure the technical integrity of the fuel, including management of quality control sampling and testing.
  • Experience in similar environments would be highly regarded, particularly in high-risk/hazardous processing environments.

Requirements:

  • A strong team player, self-starter and dedicated employee with relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Defence specific training will be advantageous, however this training will be provided to the successful applicant where required.
  • Valid Driver's Licence (HR or HC) will be highly regarded.
  • Safety is at the forefront of everything you do.
  • Currently hold or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance.
  • Live locally, or willing to relocate to the Darwin region.
