We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Controls Specialist to join our team in Brisbane, Australia.
This permanent staff role will oversee project cost management and reporting functions for one of our key Australian based projects.
- Analysis of project cost performance, tracking expenditures, and forecasting future costs to support budget management and financial planning.
- Mentorship and support of junior project controls staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring consistency and accuracy in project controls practices.
- Monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks and delays, and proposing mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.
- Coordination with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant data and inputs for project controls activities.
- Preparation of regular reports and presentations on project performance, providing insights and recommendations to project teams and clients.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Controls Engineer who possesses:
- A degree in engineering, project management, business administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in a similar position within project controls, preferably in the mining & minerals industry or related sectors at project execution stage.
- Demonstrated experience tracking quantities, and determining earned value progress for construction.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Oracle, Ecosys, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
- Proficient in advanced data analysis and reporting, with expertise in applications such as Power Pivot and Power BI.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide team members toward common goals.
- Knowledge of mining industry regulations, standards, and best practices is desirable.
- Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) are a plus.
