About the Opportunity

Talent Focus is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Strategist to join their team in Australia. As a key player in the company's success, you will be responsible for driving continuous production flow and managing daily stock issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficient inventory management and balance internal warehouse needs with relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Oversee the logistics of finished products and spare parts across Australia, Europe, and the USA.
  • Analyze and mitigate supplier risks, implement dual sourcing strategies, and expand the supplier base.
  • Drive improvements in inventory and supply chain procedures to enhance efficiency and profitability.
  • Serve as an advisory member of the product development team, sourcing materials and providing insights on Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD).
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure they meet quality and delivery standards; collaborate with other departments to qualify new suppliers.
  • Work with Quality Assurance to achieve ISO 13485 compliance, focusing on supplier control and material controls.
  • Exercise purchasing authority within company policy.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Meet targets for supplier delivery, quality, inventory, and cost.
  • Maintain ISO 13485 compliance.
  • Achieve project milestones.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering and technical background in complex manufacturing.

Business Systems Knowledge:

  • Expertise in ERP systems, particularly JDE.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Power BI.

Personal Attributes and Leadership Competencies:

  • Ability to work on the front lines to ensure production flow.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Practical and pragmatic problem-solving skills.

Additional Information:

  • This role reports to the Operations Manager.
  • Lead a team of 5 direct reports.
  • Willingness to travel internationally one to two times per year may be required.

Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
