About the Role

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of Australia's leading public hospitals, seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Nurse to join the ICU Research Department on a part-time fixed-term basis.

This clinical research nurse position plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standard of care for patients involved in clinical trials and their families. The successful candidate will work closely with the multidisciplinary and research teams to coordinate and facilitate research studies within the ICU.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the highest standard of care is delivered to all patients involved in clinical trials.
  • Coordinate and facilitate research studies within the ICU.
  • Work closely with staff involved in research studies as well as key stakeholders.
  • Be available to be part of the department's on-call roster.
About You

Essential Requirements

  • Registered Nurse qualification along with AHPRA registration.
  • Post Graduate Critical Care or relevant qualification.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in an Intensive Care Unit or other relevant clinical experience.

Desirable

  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed IT skills.
  • Self-motivated and directed, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues on complex tasks with strict deadlines.
