Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and testing samples, recording results, and communicating them to ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory.

This is a key role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

As a laboratory technician, you will perform various tasks, including conducting testing, accurately recording sample data, and communicating results to internal and external customers.

  • Conducting testing in accordance with established procedures and standardised test methods.
  • Accurately recording sample data and test results.
  • Communicating results to internal and external customers.
  • Participating in daily taste panel evaluations for all products manufactured.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Foster a customer service mindset applied consistently to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct testing in accordance with established sample plan and standardised test methods.
  • Accurately record sample data and test results in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate results to internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support production teams in achieving high product conformance to specifications.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor of Science (majoring in Food Science, Chemistry or closely related discipline) or relevant qualification.
  • Detailed understanding of HACCP principles and ability to perform basic laboratory analysis.
  • Reliable and good work ethic.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
