Laboratory Technician Opportunity

Deliver high-quality laboratory services in a full-time, permanent role. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for conducting accurate chemical and bacteriological analyses on in-line samples, finished products, and raw materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct regular sampling and testing of our products, adhering to approved laboratory methods.
  2. Communicate test results promptly and accurately to internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing.
  3. Maintain equipment calibration schedules and uphold housekeeping and safety standards consistently.
  4. Review laboratory performance using defined metrics such as calibration accuracy, traceability, customer service, and continuous improvement actions.
  5. Perform environmental monitoring and sampling, manage laboratory consumables, and carry out additional duties as required.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or similar is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory/testing supporting a food manufacturing operation is highly desirable.
  • An understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is essential.
  • A working knowledge of HACCP and OH&S is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities are required.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
