Insignia Financial seeks to attract experienced professionals who can contribute to the success of our Asset Management business.

As the Head of Risk – Asset Management, you will play a critical role in shaping the risk management framework and ensuring the effective implementation of risk-related strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive risk management programs to mitigate potential threats to the Asset Management business.
  2. Collaborate with the CEO Asset Management and the Asset Management Leadership Team (AMLT) to identify and prioritize key risks.
  3. Work closely with the AMLT to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  4. Lead the 1st Line team in the integration, implementation and embedding of risk and compliance methodologies and frameworks for the Asset Management business.
  5. Support the 1st Line risk team in undertaking risk activities, including incident management, control assessments, and delivered risk assessments.
  6. Manage, monitor and maintain a structured and systematic approach to 1st Line risk to support the identification of risk and compliance matters and their appropriate resolutions.
  7. Provide risk input to projects to facilitate safe delivery and adherence to risk and compliance requirements.
  8. Prepare and present clear and concise reporting on risk and compliance matters.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or extensive equivalent practical experience such as Accounting, Banking, Economics, Finance or Law.
  • 5+ years experience in a similar role within the asset management sector, focusing on fund origination and funds management.
  • 10+ years experience in operational risk and compliance in the financial services sector, preferably in asset management or funds management.
  • Extensive knowledge of the products and regulatory environment in respect of managed investment schemes and wholesale funds.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and drive teams to achieve results.
