The position of a seasoned Business Analyst is available in Melbourne for a 12-month fixed term contract basis.
This role offers the opportunity to bring your expertise and work with a team dedicated to providing tax-effective investment solutions to Australians.
The Business Analyst will be pivotal in achieving objectives by working closely with the IT team to provide support to the Fund Operations team on a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Elicit and analyze business, functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders using engaging collaboration methods.
- Develop and validate business requirements documents, maintaining high-quality requirements, including use of As-is / To-be process models.
- Collaborate with vendors and subject matter experts to determine the most appropriate technical solution and validate against documented requirements.
- Analyze data to identify trends, risks or opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and policies.
- Manage project cost and effort estimates with vendors and internal Test Team.
- Manage scope creep throughout the project lifecycle using Change Management process to mitigate risks to costs and timeline.
- Support the Test Team during test preparation activities and execution, assisting in defect root cause analysis, clarification of requirements and expected results.
- Assess change impact and manage change into the organization.
- Train the Fund Operations team on new solutions, preparing them for implementation into the business environment.
- Support end-users post-implementation of the new solution.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 8+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, with a minimum 3+ years in the investment operations space.
- Experience with investment management systems and data analysis tools.
- Understanding of investment operations processes, including the trade lifecycle process.
- Process Analysis and Modelling skills.
- Ability to pivot quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Proven experience in improving processes, system implementation, or working on projects.
- Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail.
- Team player with a determined attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent relationship management skills.
