About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team at a leading mining operation. Located in New South Wales, this project offers a unique opportunity to develop and maintain mine infrastructure facilities and large-scale mobile mining equipment.

This role requires the candidate to assist with performing routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and servicing of electrical systems and equipment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the electrical supervisor in day-to-day operations, including planning, projects, and resource allocation
  • Completing general maintenance tasks, breakdowns, services, and component replacements to a high standard
  • Installation and maintenance of machine guidance technology and fleet management systems
  • Sourcing technical information from reference manuals, OEMs, and computer-based systems
  • Maintenance of digital radio infrastructure and wireless/hardwire networks

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 & 3007, electrical supervisors' licenses, CPR, and low voltage rescue certifications. Post-trade experience in installation and maintenance of industrial electrical installations is highly regarded.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Electrical Trade Certificate of proficiency
  • Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 & 3007
  • Electrical supervisors' license as issued by the relevant authorities
  • Current CPR and low voltage rescue certification
Key Requirements
  • High Voltage Switching and Access
  • Open Cablers license would be an advantage
  • Post-trade experience in installation and maintenance of industrial electrical installations
  • Experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry and fixed infrastructure
