Job Opportunity: Clinical Research Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a challenging role that combines clinical expertise with project management skills. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the current healthcare system and knowledge of national and international trends relating to nursing and midwifery professions, workforce, and service delivery.

  • Develop and implement effective strategies for managing and coordinating nursing and midwifery projects that align with the Department of Health's strategic objectives.
  • Design and conduct robust research activities that contribute to nursing and midwifery policy or projects.
  • Utilise a broad understanding of the nursing and midwifery professions and the healthcare sector to inform project decisions.

The ideal candidate will possess high-level analytical, conceptual, strategic, research, and creative skills and the ability to apply these within complex environments. Proven ability to apply rigorous project management methodology in managing a range of projects to meet agreed time, cost, and quality outcomes is also essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong clinical expertise and experience in nursing and midwifery
  • Excellent project management skills, including strategic planning, coordination, and evaluation
  • Highly developed research skills, including design, conduct, and analysis
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
