As a leader in the field of student systems, we are seeking an experienced professional to drive outcomes and deliver high-quality support to our team.

About the Opportunity

The Manager, Student Systems is a key leadership role responsible for driving strategic requirements and leading a team of professional staff charged with delivering frontline student systems support.

The role oversees day-to-day operations, including support processes, incident and issue tracking, workload monitoring, escalation, and resolution.

Duties
  • Lead the Systems Support team, including staff engagement, performance, and career development, portfolio capacity, and resource allocation.
  • Strategy tracking and delivery, presenting divisional level reporting on projects and performance, contributing to institutional level reporting.
  • Oversee development, implementation, and maintenance of user support resources.
  • Manage complex projects relating to continuous improvement activities, infrastructure improvement, identified functional issues, and new system implementations.
  • Coordinate user access management to student systems, ensuring only suitable users are given access in adherence to privacy and risk controls settings.
Requirements
  • A degree or postgraduate qualification from a recognised higher education institution with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and/or training.
  • Strong technology platform fluency with a deep understanding of contemporary IT protocols and operating environments.
  • High-level oral and written communication skills, engaging effectively with internal staff and interpreting and communicating systems matters to a broader audience.
  • Experience leading a team, developing people, and team cultures to create a highly engaged and skilled workforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and execute improvement activities, launch and deliver projects, and undertake sound processes associated with continuous development and refinement in effective Systems Support.

HEO 9, up to $160,613. Base salary within the range of $130,242 to $137,276 plus 17% superannuation.

This is an ongoing full-time role based in any of our Tasmanian campuses.
