About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at BallyCara, a leading aged care organisation. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting elderly individuals to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personalised therapy services to elderly clients, focusing on enabling their participation in meaningful daily activities.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Health Practitioner to develop and implement tailored care plans.
  • Assess and address the physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of clients to support their independence and wellbeing.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families, empowering them to manage their own care.

Requirements

To be successful, you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications and registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Community Occupational Therapist, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life for elderly individuals.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a new region.
  • Current national Police Check clearance or the ability to get one through the BallyCara recruitment process.
  • COVID-19 vaccinations as per Government recommendations.
