Job Description

As a Loan Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering lending services to optimize the lending workflow efficiency and effectiveness.

The role provides ongoing technical support and assistance, while also providing an exceptional customer experience to staff, customers, and external parties. The position is critical to ensuring the customer experience is always moving forward in the loan workflow.

  • Act on new bank guarantee file requirements
  • Assist with managing current bank guarantee files
  • Act on and progress loan variations through to unconditional approval, liaising with consultants and customers to meet customer needs and provide an outstanding experience
  • Attend to conveyancing issues and provide advice, considering regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Monitor loan files with various parties through to settlement, to ensure loan files are completed and/or settled in accordance with the customer requirements.
  • Prepare loan offer documentation, and other real property documentation (discharges, etc.).
  • Use the systems and technology supplied by the business accurately to support recording, measurement, sharing of information and customer interactions.
  • Demonstrate positive organizational and time management competencies to effectively deliver quality multiple tasks as required.
  • Finalize and comply with settlements fundings (FMS, PEXA, Dye & Durham)
  • Perform daily end of day GL balancing for all settlements fundings
  • Verify and comply with increase fundings
  • Monitor building loan files and action building progress payments
  • Finalize and comply with building inspection reports

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven knowledge of mortgage lending products and services
  • Strong understanding of secured lending credit policies, processes and products
  • Ability to manage prioritization of work to meet service level agreement standards
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong attention to detail to deliver quality and accuracy
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • A positive 'can do' attitude
  • Proficient PC skills
