Overview: An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced professional to join the School of Arts and Humanities at Edith Cowan University. This role involves providing specialized administrative assistance to ensure the effective operation of the School.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support various processes related to Teaching and Learning, including managing assessment extension requests, overseeing student progression, and addressing academic integrity issues.
- Facilitate formal reviews and appeals, and provide assistance for relevant committees and panel meetings.
- Collaborate with academic staff and senior colleagues to devise solutions to emerging challenges.
- Occasionally assist with general administrative tasks, which may encompass contracts, human resource management, and financial operations.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and excel in a dynamic, multifaceted environment. You should have a solid understanding of the higher education landscape and experience in supporting teaching and learning initiatives. Attention to detail, particularly in written communication and data management, is essential, along with the ability to effectively support academic staff.
You will be part of a collaborative Operations Team within the School, reporting to the Team Leader of Teaching and Research Services. Daily interactions will occur with both academic and professional colleagues, as well as with other schools and central university services.

Selection Criteria: Candidates should demonstrate:
- Experience in supporting teaching and learning processes within a higher education environment.
- Initiative in identifying issues and creatively resolving them, knowing when to seek managerial support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong collaborative skills to support students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
