About the Role:

Ventia is currently seeking a skilled SHEQ Professional to join our Defence contract team. This 12-month fixed term role is based at Keswick Barracks and requires the successful candidate to have experience as a safety professional in construction safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, monitor and govern SHEQ programs, systems and processes for the contract
  • Act as the key interface between the SHEQ Manager and operational delivery
  • Undertake reviews of contractor project documentation
  • Work with Ventia project officers to ensure construction works adhere to safety requirements
  • Conduct field inspections and complete audits on contractor works and management systems
  • Adhere to legislations, regulations and standards and ensure all activities on the project are undertaken safely
  • Investigate safety-related incidents or issues and provide recommendations through the contract leadership team
  • Maintain risk assessments and risk registers, and manage records according to Company requirements

Requirements:

  • Formal training in incident investigation ICAM methodology
  • Construction Induction card
  • Experience as a safety professional in construction safety
  • Detailed knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulatory requirements and ISO standards within a high-risk construction environment

Salary and Benefits:
