Underground Mine Planning Engineer

Evolving from humble beginnings, the role of an underground mine planning engineer is pivotal in the success of a leading gold producer.
Reporting to the Superintendent Mining Engineer, this position involves overseeing all short-term mine planning, factoring in financial, geotechnical, geological, mining methods, and resource considerations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop long-term scheduling and assist with budget/forecast schedules.
- Monitor plan compliance, efficiencies, and identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Manage underground costs and ensure designs maximise value.
- Identify hazards and risks at early stages and eliminate or engineer controls at the design level.
You will thrive in a collaborative team environment where we are open to feedback and respect other's opinions.
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
- At least 3 years underground mine engineering experience (design, planning, scheduling, and D&B).
- Proven experience identifying, understanding, and solving complex problems.
- Proficiency with mine design software, ideally Deswik and Aegis.
