Underground Mine Design and Planning Engineer

The role of Mine Engineer Planning is a crucial part of our team, focusing on underground mine design and planning.
We are looking for an experienced professional to join us in this key position. The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in underground mine engineering, preferably in a design, planning, and scheduling capacity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Short-term planning: creating monthly and quarterly schedules
- Long-term scheduling: assisting with the development of life-of-mine budgets and forecasts
- Monitoring and support: analyzing plan compliance, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring designs maximize value
- Cost management: monitoring underground costs and implementing cost-saving initiatives
- Identifying hazards and risks, and implementing controls to mitigate them
