We are seeking a Production Engineer to join our underground production engineering team.

This role is responsible for coordinating stakeholders and developing daily, weekly, and monthly mine schedules to ensure alignment with the annual mine plan. You will play a key role in ensuring safe, timely, and efficient execution of all underground mining activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement short-term mine schedules.
  • Effectively communicate forecasts to key site stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Conduct routine inspections underground, checking upcoming work areas.
  • Chair scheduling meetings with production, planning, geology, and mining contractor teams.
  • Provide direction and ensure alignment between stakeholders with respect to mining activities, interactions, and resource allocations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent discipline.
  • Experience in a production engineering-related role with a well-rounded knowledge of the underground development and production mining cycle.
  • Sound understanding of underground mining rates, infrastructure needs, and fleet abilities.
  • Competent with mine design and scheduling software.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation.
