Job Description

The Graphic Design and Technology Teacher is responsible for creating engaging lessons that foster students' creativity and problem-solving skills. They design and deliver innovative teaching practices, encouraging critical reflection and innovation.

This role involves strong partnerships with colleagues, families, and industry connections to ensure students are supported and inspired.

Through ongoing assessment, constructive feedback, and the integration of contemporary tools and resources, the teacher fosters confidence, independence, and a passion for design and technology.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging lessons across areas such as digital design and emerging technologies.
  • Inspire students to explore how design thinking can be applied to real-world contexts.
  • Guide students in developing technical proficiency from concept generation and digital modelling to prototyping and production.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching qualification is required. Additionally, ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration and ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration are necessary for this position.
