Communication Specialist for NDIS Care

We are seeking a motivated and client-centric Communication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work with clients with communication and swallowing difficulties to help them achieve optimal independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment and intervention to clients with communication and swallowing challenges to support their functional goals.
- Train carers in effective communication strategies and work collaboratively with other professionals to deliver therapeutic outcomes.
- Develop tailored augmentative and alternative communication systems and swallowing interventions to meet individual client needs.
- Work effectively as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for our clients.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Bachelor of Speech Pathology (or equivalent)
- Certified Practicing Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Demonstrated knowledge of functional communication and swallowing assessments, interventions, and outcome measures
- NDIS experience and understanding (desirable but not essential)
- A passion for assisting clients to reach their full potential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A current driver's licence and registered vehicle
