Job Overview

The Asset Management Lead is responsible for driving a data-driven and financially sustainable asset management system. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of strategies, plans, and policies to ensure the effective management of assets.

  • Develop and implement asset management strategies and plans that align with the organization's objectives.
  • Manage the asset register with accurate condition, GIS, and financial data to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate annual renewal planning and 10-year investment programs to optimize asset utilization.
  • Oversee asset data collection and condition assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide expert advice and reporting on asset performance and lifecycle management to stakeholders.

This role requires strong skills in GIS and asset data analysis, as well as experience with capitalization, asset valuation, and long-term investment planning. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential for success.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Asset Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing asset management plans and managing asset systems.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to drive results.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining a proactive and flexible approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Technology One is desirable.
